The player must collect 7 of either Emeralds to unlock either their Super, Dark, or Burning form. In the same house used to access the secret lab in V2 is a portal to presumbly outside of town, which is a ruined version of the old map of V2.Ĭhaos, Fake, and Sol Emeralds are scattered around the game. Unlike V2, which always takes place in night, there's a day-night cycle. The town consists of an arcade, hotel, 3 stores, 5 houses, a library, a restaurant, and a broken down house. The new map takes place in a small town placed in a plain surrounded by small hills. The old map is same as the V2 map, except the models are improved, the terrain is remastered to be smooth, and trapdoor to bunker, trash can world, and Happy Mask Salesman are removed. Players can access a secret trash can world by going outside town, falling between the front walls, and entering the trash can located there.Īs an Easter Egg, Happy Mask Salesman, from Legend of Zelda, can be found outside of town. A trapdoor in the other house leads to a large underground bunker.
A portal located in an upstairs room of one of the houses connects to a secret laboratory holding strange Mobians with purple patterns on them and in suspended animation, with two that have seemly escaped. It leads to the outside of the town, complete with a dark post-apocalyptic landscape, red floors, and dead trees covered with purple fungi (see Backstory for an explanation to this). In the hills, a secret hole can be entered, which holds a portal. There are other areas the player can visit beyond the town. When a player finds them, they can add it to their Chao collection and bring it along. The old map takes place in a very small town consisting of a park, court, library, hotel, 2 stores, a bar, and 2 houses and surrounded by a barrier.Ĭhao are scattered around the game. It holds chairs and tables, portals to the 2 maps, and a back room showcasing fan art created by other players. The lobby, which allows the player to enter either the old or new map, consists of a gray building in space. They can collect rings, the main form of currency, that are scattered randomly and regenerate over time (red star rings give 5 rings, there are gamepasses that increase the value), and later buy further customization options with them at various NPC shops. Afterwards, they can create a name, type a bio, customize their alternate forms, and select animations (V3 ONLY).īesides roleplaying, there are plenty of things a player can do. When creating their own character, they can choose from available characteristics to construct them.
